"Boxing training stimulates all the major muscle groups in the body, from the legs through the torso into the upper body. Combines aerobic and anaerobic fitness and is great fun!"

Excellent Coaching Methods

Lou Storiale is a student of training and coaching as well as a competitor and trainer.

We use a "compliment and correct system " that is designed and tailored to each individual students needs.

Teaching Methods

1. Compliment and Correct:

An example of my "compliment and correct" method goes as follows:
  • We honestly assess and compliment a student's "strong suits"
  • We instruct and correct the flawed areas without being overbearing or demeaning to the student
  • We exit the conversation or instruction with additional compliments, which leaves the student feeling good about their progression and learning.

This teaching method creates enthusiasm and excitement for the next lesson. This method encourages the individual and builds confidence and self esteem.

Training Methods also Include:

2. By the Numbers: First Do (1), Then Do (2), Then Do (3) - which helps students remember patterns

3. Repetition: Boxing, martial arts, kickboxing and self defense demands repetition. First learning it correctly, then repeat the correct action repeatedly so that thinking is not required. Repetitive action increases in synapsis in the brain (referred to as "muscle memory"). It is said that Repetition is the Mother of Skill. We Agree

4. Reason/Knowledge (The Big Picture): It helps to understand WHY you are performing a particular move and to have a real reason. Sometimes learning requires this, sometimes learning is limited by providing a reason

5. Mastering The Inner Game: Releasing the mind of thought, procedure, technique and using the students intuitive mind as an aid in performing correctly.

We are committed to knowing each student and teaching with a custom/hybrid approach that best suites the student optimally.
